At last year’s Vampire Ball I entered the fancy dress competition for the first time. The Exterminator (Dalek Fascinator)
So, as you do, I fancied dressing as a Dalek at a con. One day, when we have enough space, I’d love to build my own full size Dalek but, for now, a flouncy dress with a corset and crinoline seemed like a more sensible idea. But what to do about representing the head? I’d seen a few others online do similar Dalek outfits and most seemed to involve fitting the dome lights to a hairband. 11th Doctor Corset
I liked the subtle pattern on the Eleventh Doctor’s early shirt – all those tiny burgundy swirls – so when someone posted a Spoonflower link to be able to get the fabric on the DWCosplay community on LJ I knew I wanted to do something with it.
