Covid

Assumptions

It was really busy in the GP surgery when I went yesterday to get a steroid injection in my hand. I walk in wearing a mask and I can see the wary looks that come over folks in the waiting room. They shift a little uncomfortably. I’m the only person in the room who never even coughs once.

Meanwhile there’s a little boy running around pretending to be flying, who’s coughing like a forty a day smoker and intermittently sneezing into the open air. People smile fondly at him.

I mean, I do too (kids are cute), but I’m also grateful that my mask means I won’t be coughing like him next week.

If the other folks get sick they will likely remember that there was a person in a mask. That’s probably where they got it after all. 🤷‍♀️
